Whimsical Wednesday is no more......

I'm not sure what the problem is.

I'm unable to upload any of my saved googled images, all I get is an orange triangle with an exclamation point in the middle of it, and a message saying "server returned invalid response".

I'm not sure if the problem is with Blogger or IE9, but I've been having trouble since I upgraded to IE9 in order to be able to leave comments at a couple of my favourite blogs.

I'll keep trying, I'll run through all my images and see if any of them work, but so far two dozen of them haven't.

This is quite frustrating, I don't know how to make this work.

  1. That's a shame. I'm not very computer literate but the only thing I can suggest is that you may try downloading another browser - something like Google Chrome or FireFox. I did a test photo which I'm just about to post for you to see if you can access it. I use Google Chrome which I actually like much better than IE. As far as Blogger goes, I haven't had any trouble (as yet) uploading pictures. Good Luck, Molly.

  2. Molly; thank you. Photos I've taken myself seem to work okay, it's the saved googled images that won't load. I'll try one of my own photos tomorrow, just to be sure. Possibly I'll switch to Firefox or something on the weekend.

  3. I struck the same problem the other day so all i did was click on the refresh button, its the button with the two green arrows at the top of the screen and the problem was fixed. Hope this helps.

  4. Hi River,
You might try this. Sign back out of blogger and then sign back in. Sometimes that problem can be caused by stored "cookies", whatever they are.
Also, I don't seem to have that problem in regards to photos when I use Google Chrome.
    All the best with it.

  5. Good luck. I use Firefox and it and/or blogger have been having hissy fits of late. There are some blogs I cannot comment on, and others I simply cannot open. Very, very frustrating.

  6. Windsmoke; there's a button with two green arrows? I'll look for it.

klahanie; I clear my cookies on a regular basis, so that can't be the problem. I'll try signing out then back in.

EC; I was thinking of switching to Firefox, but since you're having trouble too, I'd say the issue is with blogger. Perhaps they're doing one of their annoying upgrades where things get better for them but not for anyone else.

  7. Hi River, I had this problem a while back and was told the fix by Joe at http://joesgossip.blogspot.com.au/ You could ask him what it was.
I remember it was one of the browser settings that needed changing...a minor thing
